Managing Your Notification Preferences
Every team member in Driive can control which notifications they receive and how they receive them. Whether you want to be notified about every booking across the organization or only the appointments assigned to you, preferences are easy to adjust.
Accessing your notification preferences
Click your avatar or name in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar.
Select Profile.
Open the Notifications tab.
Notification categories
Your preferences are organized into three categories:
Your bookings
Notifications about appointments that are assigned to you. This includes:
Booking confirmed
Booking rescheduled
Booking cancelled
Most team members keep this enabled — it's how you know what's on your schedule.
Any bookings
Notifications about all appointments across the organization, not just yours. This is useful for admins or office managers who need visibility into the full schedule.
Tip: If you're getting more notifications than you need, try disabling "Any bookings" and keeping only "Your bookings." You'll still see your own schedule updates without the noise from the rest of the team.
New requests
Alerts when a new booking request comes in. Only team members who are eligible for the appointment type receive these alerts.
This is especially useful for teams where multiple members can claim incoming requests. Turn it off if you don't need to see new requests as they arrive.
Choosing your notification channels
For each category, you can choose how you want to be notified:
Email — Receive detailed notification emails with full appointment information and action links.
SMS — Receive shorter text message alerts with key details and a link.
You can enable one channel, both, or neither for each category.
Marketing communications
At the bottom of the notification preferences page, you'll find an option for marketing communications. This controls whether you receive product updates, tips, and announcements from Driive.
Marketing emails are separate from your operational notifications. Opting out of marketing does not affect your booking or team notifications.
Per-appointment-type notification overrides
Beyond your global preferences, notification behavior can also be configured at the appointment type level. These settings are managed by admins and affect which customer notifications are sent for each service.
To view or change these:
Go to Setup > Appointment Types.
Select an appointment type.
Open the Notifications tab.
Appointment type notification settings control the customer-facing side (confirmations, reminders, follow-ups). Your personal preferences control the team-facing side (which alerts you receive about bookings).
Common preference setups
Here are a few common configurations based on role:
Role | Your bookings | Any bookings | New requests |
|---|---|---|---|
Field technician | On | Off | On |
Office manager | Off | On | On |
Business owner | On | On | On |
Part-time crew member | On | Off | Off |
These are suggestions — adjust based on what works for your workflow.
