CompanyCam

CompanyCam is a photo documentation tool built for contractors. When you connect it to Driive, your appointment workflow and your photo workflow come together — projects are created automatically, photos are linked to appointments, and your team can access everything from one place.

Why connect CompanyCam?

If your business relies on site photos — for estimates, insurance documentation, before-and-after records, or quality control — this integration eliminates the manual work of keeping your scheduling and photo documentation in sync.

  • Auto-create projects — When an appointment is scheduled in Driive, a corresponding CompanyCam project is created automatically with the job details and address — switched on per appointment type, so only the services that need it.
  • Sync booking photos — Photos the customer attached while booking are uploaded straight into the project, so your crew sees the job before they arrive.
  • Link existing projects — Already have a CompanyCam project for a customer? Link it to a Driive appointment manually.
  • View photos in Driive — Browse project photos directly from the appointment detail screen without switching apps.
  • Keep data in sync — Appointment details (customer name, address, job type) flow into CompanyCam so your crew has the context they need on site.

Who is this for?

The CompanyCam integration is especially valuable for:

  • Roofing companies — Document roof conditions before and after work for insurance claims.
  • Construction and remodeling — Track project progress with timestamped photos.
  • Inspection businesses — Capture evidence during walkthroughs and tie it to the appointment.
  • Painting and restoration — Show customers before-and-after results linked to the original booking.

How to connect

  1. Navigate to Setup > Integrations.
  2. Find the CompanyCam card and click Connect.
  3. Sign in with your CompanyCam account credentials.
  4. Grant Driive the requested permissions.
  5. The card updates to Active. You're connected.

Turning it on per service

Connecting CompanyCam makes it available to your company. It doesn't switch it on everywhere — you decide which services use it, on the appointment type:

  1. Navigate to Setup > Appointment Types and open a type.
  2. Go to the Settings tab and find the CompanyCam section at the bottom.
  3. Toggle what you need, then click Save Changes.

Two independent toggles, both off by default:

SettingWhat it does
Auto-create CompanyCam ProjectCreates a matching CompanyCam project whenever an appointment of this type is booked
Sync Booking Photos to CompanyCamUploads the photos the customer attached during booking into that project

This is deliberately per-service. A roofing company wants a project for every inspection and re-roof, and nothing for the phone consultation that never leaves the office.

Photo sync depends on the appointment type having a photo upload booking question — that's where the customer's photos come from. Turn photo sync on without one and Driive flags it right in the settings panel, because there'd be nothing to upload.

See Integration Settings for the full breakdown, including how the two toggles combine.

Note: The CompanyCam section only appears on the Settings tab while the integration is connected and active. If it isn't there, check the connection under Setup > Integrations first.

How it works

Automatic project creation

With Auto-create CompanyCam Project on for an appointment type, booking an appointment of that type creates a CompanyCam project pre-filled with:

  • Customer name
  • Service address
  • Appointment type
  • Scheduled date and time

Your field crew can open the CompanyCam app, find the project, and start snapping photos — no manual setup required.

Booking photo sync

With Sync Booking Photos to CompanyCam on, photos the customer uploaded while booking are pushed into the project. Your crew arrives already knowing what they're walking into — and on an estimate, a photo of the actual problem before anyone gets in a truck is often the difference between one visit and two.

Linking existing projects

If a CompanyCam project already exists for a customer or job site, you can link it to a Driive appointment:

  1. Open the appointment in Driive.
  2. In the appointment detail panel, find the CompanyCam section.
  3. Click Link Project and search for the existing project by name or address.
  4. Select the project to connect it.

Viewing photos in Driive

After a project is linked (automatically or manually), you can view its photos directly from the appointment detail screen. This is useful for:

  • Reviewing site conditions before dispatching a crew.
  • Checking progress photos during an in-progress job.
  • Confirming completed work without opening CompanyCam separately.

Where CompanyCam appears in Driive

When the CompanyCam integration is active, you'll see it in a few places:

  • Appointment detail — A CompanyCam section shows linked project photos and a link to open the full project.
  • CompanyCam in the sidebar — A dedicated CompanyCam item appears in the main sidebar (only while the integration is connected), giving you a central view of your CompanyCam projects and their linked appointments.
  • Requests — Requests can also arrive from CompanyCam. They show a CompanyCam channel indicator in your Issues list and Requests list, just like requests from phone, web, or SMS.

Managing the connection

To adjust or disconnect the CompanyCam integration:

  1. Go to Setup > Integrations.
  2. Click the CompanyCam card.
  3. From here, you can view the connection status or click Disconnect to remove the integration.

Disconnecting stops automatic project creation and photo sync, and removes the CompanyCam sections from the Driive interface — including the section on each appointment type's Settings tab. Existing CompanyCam projects and photos are not deleted; they remain in your CompanyCam account.
