Team Notifications

The users in your organization receive notifications to keep them aware of what's happening with their schedule and the business. From new Inbox issues to booking updates, these alerts help your crew stay in sync without constantly checking the app.

New Issue Alert

When it's sent: When a new issue lands in your Inbox — a request that needs information or approval, an appointment that still needs a time, a lead that failed qualification, and so on.

Who receives it: Users who have New Issues notifications enabled.

What it contains:

  • The customer's name
  • Why the item needs attention (the issue reasons)
  • A link to open it in your Inbox

Channels: Email

New issue alerts help your team act quickly on incoming work. The faster you respond, the more likely you are to win the job.

Tip: If an issue resolves itself right away — for example, the customer finishes providing details moments after the issue appears — Driive skips the email so you're not chasing work that's already done.

Booking Confirmed (Internal)

When it's sent: When an appointment gets booked with a time.

Who receives it: The assigned users (with Your Bookings notifications enabled), plus any users who have Any Bookings notifications enabled.

What it contains:

  • Customer name and contact info
  • Appointment date, time, and duration
  • Service name
  • Service location or address
  • A link to view the appointment

Channels: Email

This notification lets your users know that a confirmed appointment has been added to their schedule.

Booking Rescheduled (Internal)

When it's sent: When an appointment's date or time changes — whether rescheduled by the customer or by someone on your team.

Who receives it: The assigned users (with Your Bookings enabled), plus any users with Any Bookings notifications enabled.

What it contains:

  • New appointment date and time
  • Customer name
  • Service name and location
  • A link to view the updated appointment

Channels: Email

Schedule changes can cause confusion if your team isn't notified. This alert makes sure nobody shows up at the wrong time.

Booking Cancelled (Internal)

When it's sent: When an appointment is cancelled — by the customer or by someone on your team.

Who receives it: The assigned users (with Your Bookings enabled), plus any users with Any Bookings notifications enabled.

What it contains:

  • Cancelled appointment details (customer, date, time, service)
  • Who cancelled it
  • A link to view the cancelled appointment record

Channels: Email

Cancellation alerts free up your team's schedule and prevent wasted trips to job sites.

Assignment Confirmed

When it's sent: When a technician is assigned to an appointment — either pre-assigned at booking, or assigned (or reassigned onto the job) from the Dispatch board.

Who receives it: The technician who was just assigned.

What it contains:

  • "You've been assigned" to this appointment
  • The customer's name and contact info
  • The planned date, time, and duration
  • Service name, location, notes, and form responses
  • Buttons to View Appointment and Get Directions

Channels: Email

This is a technician's first heads-up that a job is theirs. Unlike the internal booking confirmation, nothing was newly booked here — an existing appointment was handed to them. The tech sees the exact planned time for their own schedule, even when the customer was promised a window.

Assignment Removed

When it's sent: When a technician is removed from an appointment — unassigned, or reassigned to a different tech — on the Dispatch board.

Who receives it: The technician who was just removed.

What it contains:

  • "Removed from your schedule" — you're no longer assigned to this appointment, no action needed
  • The appointment details for context (shown dimmed, since it isn't theirs anymore)

Channels: Email

The appointment still exists — it simply isn't this technician's job anymore. This keeps a tech from driving to a job that was handed off after they last checked their schedule.

Note: Assignment changes on a window booking only notify the technicians involved — never the customer, whose promised window hasn't changed.

User Invitation

When it's sent: When an admin invites a new person to join the organization.

Who receives it: The invited person (via the email address provided during the invite).

What it contains:

  • Your organization name
  • A welcome message
  • A magic link button to accept the invitation

Channels: Email

This is the onboarding email that brings new users into your Driive organization. Learn more about the invite flow in Inviting Users.

Integration Disconnected

When it's sent: When an integration (Google Calendar, Outlook, CompanyCam, etc.) loses its authorization and can no longer sync.

Who receives it: The user who connected the integration.

What it contains:

  • Which integration was disconnected
  • A brief explanation of what happened
  • A link to reconnect the integration

Channels: Email

Disconnections can happen when a password changes, a token expires, or permissions are revoked. This alert makes sure you know about it quickly so you can reconnect before it affects scheduling.

Controlling which team notifications you receive

Every user can choose which categories of notifications they want:

  • Your Bookings — Notifications about appointments assigned to you.
  • Any Bookings — Notifications about all appointments across the organization.
  • New Issues — An email when a new issue appears in your Inbox.

Adjust these in Account > Notifications. For details, see Managing Your Preferences.
