Archiving Requests
Requests never get deleted in Driive — they get archived. Archiving tucks a request out of your active list (and out of the Inbox) while keeping the full record — the customer's words, the answers, the call recordings — safe and restorable forever. Spam, duplicates, jobs that didn't pan out, and requests that successfully converted all end up here.
Archiving manually
From the request detail page
- Open the request.
- Click the archive icon in the toolbar at the top.
- Done — a Request archived toast confirms, and the request leaves your active list.
In bulk, from the Requests list
Clearing out a batch of old requests goes faster from the list:
- Open Requests in the sidebar.
- Tick the checkbox on each row you want to clear — or the header checkbox to select the whole page.
- A toolbar appears showing the count. Click Archive.
- Confirm in the dialog. As it says: archived requests leave the inbox, and you can still find them in the list with the archived filter.
Tip: Rows that are already archived are simply skipped, so it's safe to select broadly.
Automatic archiving
You'll rarely archive a converted request yourself — Driive does it for you. When a request's appointment gets scheduled (a real date and time on the calendar), the request has done its job, and Driive archives it automatically. That's why your Requests list stays focused on open work: everything still showing is either unconverted or waiting on a time.
The intake history isn't gone — the archived request still holds the original summary, sessions, and answers whenever you want to look back at how the job came in.
Note: Canceling the appointment later does not automatically unarchive the request — the appointment itself carries the cancellation, and you can reschedule it from there.
Finding archived requests
- Open Requests in the sidebar.
- Flip the Show archived toggle in the filter bar.
- Archived requests appear alongside the rest, marked with a muted Archived tag in the Status column. Search and the type/channel filters work on them like any other row.
Restoring a request
Changed your mind — or the customer called back?
- Turn on Show archived and open the archived request.
- Click the ⋯ menu in the toolbar and choose Unarchive.
- A Request restored toast confirms. The request is active again and can be worked, shared, and scheduled like any other.
There is no delete
By design, requests can't be deleted — only archived. Every request is a record of a real customer interaction: what they asked for, what they were quoted, what was said on the call. Archiving gives you a clean workspace without ever losing that history.
