Customers Overview

Your customer list is the customer hub of your Driive account. It stores every person who has booked with you, reached out about your services, or been added manually by your team. Think of it as a lightweight CRM built right into your scheduling workflow.

Where to find customers

Click Customers in the left sidebar navigation. You'll land on the customer list, which shows every customer in your organization in a clean, scrollable table.

Each row shows:

ColumnWhat it shows
StatusLead, Customer, or Inactive — plus an Archived badge when you're viewing archived customers
NameThe customer's first and last name
AddressTheir service address, if one is saved
PhoneTheir phone number
EmailTheir email address
TagsAny tags you've applied (e.g., "vip", "commercial")

Click any row to open the customer's detail page.

How customers are created

Customers enter your system in two main ways:

1. Automatically from requests and bookings

When someone books through your booking page, submits a web form, or calls in and talks to Dot, Driive creates a request — and a customer record along with it, using the name, email, phone number, and address they provide. This is the most common way customers are added, and it requires no manual entry.

Before creating a new record, Driive checks for an existing customer with a matching email or phone number in your organization. If one exists, the new request is linked to that customer instead — and Driive won't overwrite the details you've already saved. This keeps your list clean and your history in one place.

2. Manually by your team

You can create a customer at any time by clicking Add Customer on the customer list page. This is handy for referrals or walk-ups you want on file before they book. You can also create a customer inline while logging a new request or booking an appointment yourself.

Note: New customer records start with the Lead status. Driive automatically promotes them to Customer the first time an appointment gets scheduled — see Customer Statuses.

The relationship between customers and appointments

Every appointment and request in Driive is linked to a customer. Open a customer's detail page and switch to the Appointments tab to see their full history — upcoming visits and past ones, with each appointment's status. And from any appointment, you can jump straight to the customer behind it.

This two-way link makes it easy to answer questions like "When was the last time we serviced this customer?" or "Has this lead ever actually booked with us?"

Search and filter

As your customer list grows, you'll need ways to find people quickly.

The search bar at the top of the list finds customers by name, email, or phone number. Start typing and results filter in real time.

Filters

Next to the search bar you'll find:

  • Status filter — Narrow the list to Leads, Customers, or Inactive customers. You can select more than one status at a time.
  • Tag filter — Show only customers with a specific tag (this filter appears once you've created tags).
  • Show archived — A toggle that includes archived customers in the list. Archived customers appear with an Archived badge.

Filters combine, so you can view "all Leads tagged 'commercial'" in a couple of clicks. Active filters appear as chips above the list — click a chip to remove it, or use Clear filters to reset everything.

Infinite scroll

The customer list uses infinite scroll rather than traditional pagination. As you scroll down, more customers load automatically. This keeps the interface fast and fluid, even with thousands of customers.
