Sharing Booking Links

A booking link is the simplest way to let customers schedule with you. Copy a URL, share it anywhere, and anyone who clicks it lands directly on your booking page. No website changes, no code, no technical setup — just a link.

Driive gives you two types of links, each designed for a different situation.

Every booking page has its own URL — book.getdriive.com/your-page — and what a customer sees when they click it is whatever you built on that page: a list of service cards, a routing questionnaire, or the contact form for a single service.

Where to find it:

  1. Go to Setup > Booking Pages in the sidebar. Each card shows its page's URL.
  2. Open the page and use Copy URL in the menu.

Because you can build as many pages as you need, this is where a targeted link belongs. Instead of decorating one general link with parameters for every campaign, build a page for the campaign — its own copy, its own branding, its own redirect — and share that.

Note: The page has to be Published for its link to work. A draft page shows the "booking unavailable" screen.

Each appointment type has its own direct link that skips booking pages entirely and drops the customer straight into that one service.

Useful when you're promoting a specific offering — an "AC Tune-Up" link in a seasonal email, or a link you text to a caller who already told you what they need.

Where to find it:

  1. Go to Setup > Appointment Types in the sidebar.
  2. Click the appointment type you want to share.
  3. Click Share in the header and choose Copy Link — or Send via Text / Send via Email to send it right away.

Tip: For links you share constantly, create a shortcut so the link is always one click away in your sidebar.

Text your booking link directly to a customer or prospect. This is one of the highest-converting channels for home-service businesses — customers can tap the link on their phone and book in under a minute.

Example text: "Hi! Here's a link to schedule your roof inspection with Johnson Roofing: [booking link]. Pick any time that works for you."

Include your booking link in:

  • Follow-up emails to leads who called but didn't book.
  • Estimate emails with a "Ready to schedule? Book here" call to action.
  • Email signatures so every message you send is a booking opportunity.

Post your booking link on:

  • Facebook — In posts, your business page bio, and as a call-to-action button.
  • Instagram — In your bio link (use a link-in-bio tool if you have multiple links).
  • Google Business Profile — Add it to the "Book" button on your listing.
  • Nextdoor — In posts and your business profile.

Other places to share

  • Business cards — Print the link or a QR code that points to it.
  • Truck and van wraps — Include a short booking URL or QR code.
  • Flyers and door hangers — Add a QR code linked to your booking page.
  • Voicemail greeting — Mention the link and offer to text it to callers.

Shortcuts

Shortcuts are saved booking links that live in your sidebar. Each shortcut has a custom name and icon, so you can quickly identify and open the right link.

Why use shortcuts

If you frequently share the same link — say, your "Free Estimate" appointment type — creating a shortcut saves you from navigating to the appointment type settings every time. Shortcuts sit in the Shortcuts section of the sidebar, ready whenever you need them.

How to create a shortcut

  1. Find the Shortcuts section in the sidebar and click View All.
  2. Click Create Shortcut.
  3. Give it a custom name (e.g., "Free Roof Inspection").
  4. Pick an emoji icon to make it visually distinct.
  5. Choose the appointment type the shortcut should point to, or paste any booking link.
  6. Save it.

Your shortcut now appears in the sidebar — clicking it opens the booking link so you can grab the URL and send it in seconds.

Best practices

  • Use your main booking page as the default. When you only have space for one link — an email signature, a social bio — use the page that covers all your services.
  • Build a page for a campaign. Running a spring HVAC tune-up promotion? A dedicated booking page with its own headline and its own redirect beats a general link with a UTM tag on it.
  • Use direct links for one-to-one outreach. When you already know what the customer needs, the appointment type's direct link is the shortest path there.
  • Shorten long URLs for print. If you're putting a link on a business card or flyer, use a URL shortener or QR code to keep it clean.
  • Track where bookings come from. Pay attention to which channels bring in the most appointments. If text message links convert well, lean into SMS outreach.
  • Include a call to action. Don't just drop a link — tell the customer what to do. "Schedule your free estimate" converts better than a bare URL.
