Completing an Appointment

Marking an appointment complete is the final step in your workflow. It tells your team the job is done, closes out the record, and clears the appointment from your active schedule.

Marking an appointment complete

You can mark any Scheduled appointment complete:

  1. Open the appointment.
  2. Click Mark Complete — the primary button on every scheduled appointment.
  3. The confirmation dialog shows the appointment type, date, and customer so you can be sure you've got the right one.
  4. Click Mark Complete to confirm.

Completing in bulk

Wrapping up the day? Close out several jobs at once from the Scheduled list:

  1. In the list view, tick the checkbox on each appointment you want to close (or the header checkbox to select the page).
  2. Click Complete in the selection toolbar.
  3. Confirm in the dialog.

Only scheduled appointments in your selection are completed — already-completed or canceled rows are simply skipped, so it's safe to select broadly.

Auto-completion for past appointments

Driive tidies up after you. Every hour, it looks for appointments that are still Scheduled but ended more than a day ago and marks them Completed automatically. The activity feed notes that the appointment was auto-completed, so you can always tell a manual close-out from a system one.

This keeps your schedule clean without requiring your team to remember to close out every job.

Note: Auto-completion deliberately waits about 24 hours past the appointment's end time — so a job that ran long, or one you meant to reschedule, isn't closed out from under you the moment the clock runs out.

What happens after completion

  • The status badge updates to Completed.
  • An entry is recorded in the appointment's activity feed.
  • The appointment remains in your records — filter the Scheduled list by Completed to review finished work.
  • The time slot no longer counts against future availability.

Can you undo a completion?

No — Completed is a terminal status, and a completed appointment exposes no further actions. If you marked one complete by mistake and the work still needs to happen, book a fresh appointment yourself.

Tips

  • Complete jobs promptly. Auto-completion is a safety net, not a workflow — marking jobs complete right after finishing keeps your records accurate and gives office staff real-time visibility into field work.
  • Make it a crew habit. Encourage techs to hit Mark Complete before they pull out of the driveway.
  • Review with a filter. Completed + Last 30 Days in the filters shows exactly what your team closed this month.
