Quick Book

The Quick Book button lets you create appointments manually in just a few steps. It is designed for the moments when a customer calls on the phone, walks in the door, or you need to add a job that did not come through your online booking page.

Opening the Quick Book page

Click the + Book button in the top bar of the appointments page. The quick-book page opens as a full-screen overlay.

You can also trigger quick book from other places in Driive, such as the shortcuts page or integrated project views (e.g., CompanyCam).

Step-by-step walkthrough

The quick-book wizard guides you through three steps:

Step 1: Select an appointment type

Choose the service the customer is requesting. Your appointment types are listed with their icons and names. Click one to select it.

If the selected appointment type has booking questions configured, you will move to the questions step. If not, you will skip straight to customer details.

Step 2: Answer booking questions (if configured)

If the appointment type includes booking questions (e.g., "What type of roof do you have?" or "Upload a photo of the damage"), answer them on the customer's behalf.

  • Questions appear one at a time for a focused experience.

  • Use the Back button to revisit previous answers.

  • Once you complete all questions, click Next to continue.

This step is skipped entirely if the appointment type has no questions.

Step 3: Customer details

Enter the customer's information:

  • First name and Last name (required)

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Service address -- Start typing to search for an address. Driive uses address autocomplete to help you fill in the street, city, state, and ZIP code.

If you opened quick book with pre-filled customer data (e.g., from a CompanyCam project), these fields will already be populated.

Once you have entered the customer's details, click Create Appointment to save.

What happens after you create the appointment

  • The appointment is created with a Needs Scheduled status, since no time slot has been selected yet.

  • You are redirected to the appointment detail page where you can schedule the appointment, assign team members, or send the customer a booking link.

  • The activity feed records that the appointment was created manually.

At any point during the quick-book flow, Driive generates a pre-filled booking link in the footer bar. This link includes the appointment type and any question answers you have entered.

You can:

  • Copy the link to your clipboard and paste it into an email, text message, or chat.

  • Open the link in a new tab to preview what the customer will see.

  • Save as a shortcut for appointment types you book frequently.

This is useful when you want to capture the details on a phone call and then send the customer a link to pick their own time slot.

Tips

  • Use shortcuts for repeat bookings. If you frequently book the same appointment type with the same question answers, save a shortcut from the Quick Book footer. Next time, you can launch the booking form with one click.

  • Pre-fill from integrations. When you open quick book from an integrated tool like CompanyCam, customer details and project info are pre-filled automatically.

  • You do not need to schedule immediately. Creating an appointment through quick book puts it in the Needs Scheduled lane. You can schedule it later or send the customer a booking link.
